Generously sponsored by Centaline Charity Fund and jointly organized by Inspire Education Association and the Hong Kong Professional Association for the Gifted and Talented, the "GRITeam - Hong Kong Four Poles" leadership program successfully completed its third expedition on April 17, 2025. This journey took students to Hong Kong's westernmost point at Peaked Hill for an immersive exploration integrating physical geography, ecological environments, and cultural history.

The adventure began at the picturesque Tai O Ferry Pier, where the team embarked on a route featuring multiple distinctive landmarks. Students first experienced the natural beauty of Ngai Ying Kok Campsite, then explored the traditional architecture of Yi O Kau Tsuen, witnessing Hong Kong's rural heritage. The journey continued to the scenic Tsin Yue Wan and Fan Lau, where instructor provided in-depth explanations of outlying island ecosystems. The most memorable highlight was visiting Tai O's stilt houses, where students experienced firsthand this unique architectural style and fishing village culture listed as Hong Kong's Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Throughout the expedition, instructor delivered engaging commentary on coastal geography while connecting students with historical artifacts including Neolithic Age relics. This created a vivid timeline of the region's development from prehistoric times to the present. Through hands-on fieldwork and interactive learning, participants not only broadened their perspectives but also developed deeper appreciation for cultural preservation.

With the successful completion of the West Pole exploration, "GRITeam - Hong Kong Four Poles" now prepares for its final destination. We look forward to seeing students push their limits and create more unforgettable learning experiences in the culminating challenge!
